There is something delicate and valuable in these egg shells. They are waste, but here they look like a treasure. These remnants, that are usually thrown away without a second look, become something of value.

Arya studied at the University of Teheran. One of his teachers there was Farshid Azarang, a documentary photographer. His classes have shaped the way Arya approaches photography. For his art Farshid works with photographs, archives and like Arya with found images.

When you look at and experience art, presentation plays a large role. It is not just the artwork that counts. Lighting, wall color, what you can hear around you and many other things play a part in your experience. If you put something on a pedestal or in a vitrine for instance . It makes a difference.
