João Loureiro

Relógio (Klok)

João Loureiro... Where have I heard that name before?
Maybe you remember this name from the 'grey ice cream' artwork that was here last Summer. Did you taste them?
Clock work
The shape of these slices on the elevator art inspired by a clock work. Did you know that in an analog clock there are sprockets? They make sure the hands of the clock move at the exact right moment.
Meats
But it look likes meat? Which sorts do you recognise?
Artist with an opinion
João Loureiro delivers his criticism on the way the world works with humour. He researches the line between where food becomes art.
Tick Tock
João thinks that people change too much about food. Meats like these cannot be called 'meat' anymore, according to him. There are so many additives, that the ingredients are more fat, water and flavoring. He thinks it is time to either stop eating meet, or go back to the natural product. That way he hopes we will start to value nature more.
And you?
What topping or spread do you love most on your sandwiches?
