Two little ghosts
Memoryland plays with our desire. This painting appears to present two figures, but it is a still life painting. It's like looking at delicious ice cream, but it's hard to eat. You don't want to eat two bodies and their leaking liquids.
Process
Janice made a series of paintings created from images of ice cream. she modelled figures out of ice cream, made photographs and then painted it.
The artist
Janice studied fine art at Edinburgh College of Art, Glasgow School of Art, and Hunter College, New York.
