refers to a house number. Mehringdamm 36 in Berlin is home to the first snack bar, now called Curry 36. The first curry sausage was sold there. The restaurant still exists.

Everyday

Beni uses everyday life objects as subjects for his artworks. The curry sausage is a good example of this. Beni makes art out of very ordinary things and events that are not particularly noticeable.

‘On the one hand I am very fascinated by pop culture and all its media and beautiful shiny, glossy, superficial photography and graphic design. On the other hand I wanna play with it, destroy and deconstruct it’, says Beni.
