Robert chose a different style for each cheese painting. Despite the fact that they look alike. How does that work? Each work has a different title. The title of this cheese refers to the style ‘pop-art’. This might make you look at it from a different perspective.
Robert had different thoughts and associations with each painting. This is shown in the titles. This cheese reminded him of an artwork created by Joseph Beuys. It consist of blocks of animal fat.
At first sight, this looks just like your average piece of cheese. The shape checks out and the colour is also very realistic. But if you look at it a little longer, there’s much more to see. Those two holes could be eyes. And what about that line in the middle?
If the artwork came to life, what do you think would happen?
